Reading Well by Third Grade: Session III: Strategic Planning for a Comprehensive Literacy Plan: What professional development, training, and support is needed to create a sustainable literacy program? This day will focus on job-embedded professional development, coaching, and instructional leadership as critical elements of successful and sustainable literacy instruction. We will discuss how to build capacity of educators that work with students on, below, and above grade level, the role of literacy coaches, and what effective literacy leadership looks like, including examples from the Minnesota Blueprint for Literacy.
